USA Today bestselling author Demelza Carlton has always loved the ocean, but on her first snorkelling trip she found she was afraid of fish.

She has since swum with sea lions, sharks and sea cucumbers and stood on spray-drenched cliffs over a seething sea as a seven-metre cyclonic swell surged in, shattering a shipwreck below.

Sensationalist spin? No – Demelza tends to take a camera with her so she can capture and share the moment later; shipwrecks, sharks and all.

Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world.

Book six in this fairytale series, like the other stories, is full of imagination and fun. It’s a twist on Sleeping Beauty that will most likely catch your interest and keep you listening for longer than you’d planned to. However, like most fairy tales it’s important to be able to suspend disbelief and just enjoy.

As I’ve noted in my previous reviews of the audiobooks in this series, the sex in the stories feels so out-of-place. I believe the language and scenes distract considerably from an otherwise cute story.  But I would say if you don’t think this would bother you, and by the ratings, many don’t, then I wouldn’t hesitate to grab the book or audiobook and give this series a try.

I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Demelza Carlton. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.
