From Amazon:

It’s normal for toddlers to worry and feel anxious—they have enough experience with the world to know that things may go wrong. With warmth and empathy, this board book helps little ones understand what it means to worry and that “Everybody worries, even grown-ups. But worries are not forever. You can help your worries go away.” Through colorful illustrations and simple ideas, toddlers learn to talk to someone, get a hug, keep hands and bodies busy, think good thoughts, and more. Also includes tips for parents and caregivers.

My Thoughts

What Concerned Me: Perhaps things confuse me that shouldn’t, but the book I’m using for this review is a board book. And as a board book, typically for very young children, this topic felt advanced and too mature for that type of heavy-paged book.

So I took the time to look it up on Amazon. Yes, this particular title did come as a paperback too. But when I clicked on paperback I was immediately taken to a book with the same title, same author, different cover, and different story.

Now, that felt odd. I guess one story is meant for the very young and the other for older children. But I still feel this topic is pretty advanced for a board book.

What I Liked Most: Depending on the age of your little worrier, this book might be just what is needed. The various tips at the back contain some good thoughts for parents and caregivers to implement such as being patient and reassuring. It stresses that you are your child’s best teacher.

As I mentioned earlier, I felt the content didn’t fit a toddler’s book, but I’m rating it higher due to the material and ideas in the book. And depending on your child, this may be a perfect fit.
