It’s Sure to Bring Smiles

Publisher’s Description

Gray just wants to be included. But the other colors are always leaving him out. So he decides to create his own project: an all-gray book. Once upon a time, there lived a wolf, a kitten, and a hippo…

Gray just knows it’s going to be perfect. But as he adds page after page, the Primary and Secondary colors show up…and they aren’t quite so complimentary.

A book within a book, this colorful tale explores the ideas of fitting in, appreciating others, and looking at things from another perspective and also uses personality and wit to introduce basic color concepts.

My Thoughts

Gray feels completely left out since the other colors ignore him most of the time. But I’m so proud of him. He attempts to solve his own problem rather than become a whiner.

He is making the greatest book ever. And guess what? It’s going to be all Gray!

And so the story begins.

The story is on the gray side and the illustrations are beautiful shades of gray.

But it only takes a few pages before . . .

Hey, Gray, what are you doin’?

This looks dismal, bleak, and gloomy.

Yeah, this is kind of depressing . . . .

Though Gray assures his friends that the weather is just a little overcast in his story, will he have a little interference as he tries to continue? Surely, a perfect book can consist of just one color, can’t it?

This is an awesome book as it stands, or it can easily be used to help teach the color wheel, cooperation, and much more.

What Concerned Me

Nothing

What I Liked Most

It’s a fun book that can be used for both entertainment and teaching. The text is witty and the illustrations bright and kid-friendly.
