Three couples.

Destination Portugal.

Goal to experience the beautiful wedding of one of the couples: Will and Ali.

The friends attending don’t really care for Ali, especially Rachel. In spite of that, will it be the fairy tale wedding most might imagine it to be?

Sometimes friendships can start to frazzle with too much time and togetherness. Especially if secrets are involved. And none of the characters can be trusted, or can they?

Sound interesting? It did to me too. St. Martin’s books many times are the mysteries I reach for, so I was excited to get started reading.

Unfortunately, I’m disappointed to say this book, for me, just didn’t tick many of the boxes that make up a good mystery.

This story had characters who were talking constantly, so it was filled with dialog. However, rather than the dialog weaving seamlessly throughout the story, it jumped out. And it only marginally moved the story ahead so it not only was noticeable, but it drug the story out. The constant chatter quickly led to characters I really didn’t care about.

It just didn’t wow me in any way.

This story is probably a toss of the coin. You might like it, maybe not. I really can’t recommend it.

Not the best…just okay.
